With the handmade nature of our pieces, it is so important to care for them properly to ensure longevity. 

Cosy Studios pieces are handmade in super-soft Australian merino wool. Below we have put together a guide on how to take care of your Cosy Studios pieces! 

How do I clean my knitwear piece?

Hand wash only. The less you wet the piece, the better. Soak in cold water with a gentle wool detergent (or baby shampoo), and gently swirl around. Rinse and press down on the piece to gently drain the knit and remove excess water. Do not wring out as this will damage the fibres. Spread the piece onto a dry towel, roll the towel with the knitwear inside and press until no excess water. Lay flat on a clean, dry surface out of direct sunlight until they are dry. Do not hang or tumble dry.

How do I store my knitwear piece?

Do not hang them as this will affect the shape of the piece. Instead, fold them and place on a shelf or drawer. If you are storing away for a while, we recommend washing the piece as per the instructions above, dry them and put them in an air-tight container. 

How do I remove any pilling?

Natural merino wool has a tendency to pill. We recommend using our Cosy Studios Knitwear Comb to brush through your knitwear piece.
